How to Add an Attachment to a Case or an Alert#

This topic provides step-by-step instructions for adding an attachment to a case or an alert in TheHive.

Use this procedure to add attachments in addition to those automatically saved when you save case reports or add images to case or alert descriptions and summaries, or task logs.

Required permissions

  • Only users with the manageKnowledgeBase permission can manage attachments at the organization level in TheHive.
  • Only users with the manageCase/update and manageAlert/update permissions can add and remove attachments at the case and alert levels in TheHive.

Add an attachment to a case#

  1. Locate the case where you want to add an attachment.

  2. In the case description, select the Attachments tab.

  3. Go to the Cases or Reports tab and select .

  4. In the Add attachment drawer, drop a file or select it from your computer.

  5. Select Confirm.

Add an attachment to an alert#

  1. Locate the alert where you want to add an attachment.

  2. In the alert description, select the Attachments tab.

  4. In the Add attachment drawer, drop a file or select it from your computer.

  5. Select Confirm.
