Control Case Comment Access for External Users#

Control which case comments external users can access through TheHive Portal. Comments can be switched between internal-only and external visibility to manage what information external stakeholders can see. Comments marked as internal are only visible to users who have access to the case through the main TheHive interface.

Grant external users access to a comment#

Case sharing required

To grant access to a case comment, you must first share the case.

  1. Find the case containing the comment.

  2. In the right pane, locate the comment in the comment thread.

  3. Select next to the comment.

  4. Select External.

Restrict a comment to internal users only#

  1. Find the case containing the comment.

  2. In the right pane, locate the comment in the comment thread.

  3. Select next to the comment.

  4. Select Internal.
